Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 26 September 2026

These terms apply when you use The Solo Gent website or buy products from us. Please read them before placing an order. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under UK consumer law.

1. About us

The Solo Gent is operated by The Solo Gent, TBC, of Suite A, 82 James Carter Road Mildenhall Bury St Edmunds IP28 7DE UK

You can contact us at info@thesologent.com or 0330 043 2764. Our website is Suite A, 82 James Carter Road Mildenhall Bury St Edmunds IP28 7DE UK

2. Using our website

You may use our website for lawful purposes. Please do not interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use its content in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

We aim to keep product information accurate and the website available, but may correct errors or update content when needed. Product photographs are illustrative; please check the written description for specifications, sizes and included accessories.

3. Products and availability

Our products include camping equipment and outdoor essentials. Availability may change. If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you and offer an appropriate alternative or a refund for the unavailable item. You do not have to accept a substitute.

Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidance supplied with your product. Check suitability, dimensions and any stated limitations before buying.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include applicable UK VAT where required. The total price, including any applicable delivery charge, will be shown before you confirm payment. We will tell you about any charge that cannot reasonably be calculated in advance and how it will be calculated.

Optional extras will only be added if you actively choose them. We may change prices at any time, but a later price change will not affect an order we have accepted. If we discover a pricing error before accepting your order, we will contact you so you can decide whether to proceed at the correct price or cancel.

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is due when you place your order unless the checkout clearly states otherwise.

5. Placing an order

After you place an order, we will send an acknowledgement to the email address you provide. ”Your order is accepted when we send a dispatch confirmation.” At that point, a contract is formed between you and us.

We may be unable to accept an order if a product is unavailable, payment is not authorised, we cannot deliver to your address, or there is an obvious error in the listing. If we have already taken payment, we will refund any amount paid for an order we do not accept.

Please check your order details and delivery address before submitting them. Contact us promptly if you need to request a change.

6. Delivery

The available delivery options, charges and estimated times will be shown at checkout. Further details are in our Delivery Information policy.

We will deliver within the agreed period or, if no period has been agreed, without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being made. If delivery is delayed, please contact us. Your legal remedies for late or failed delivery remain available.

The goods remain our responsibility until they are delivered to you or someone you have identified to receive them. An exception may apply if you independently arrange a carrier we did not offer.

7. Cancelling because you changed your mind

For most online purchases, you have 14 days after receiving the goods to tell us you wish to cancel, without giving a reason. If an order is delivered in separate parcels, the period generally starts after you receive the last parcel.

Email info@thesologent.com with your name, order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may use the cancellation form below, but you do not have to. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.

Unless we agree to cover them, you pay the direct costs of returning unwanted goods, provided we have told you about those costs as required by law. We will identify any goods that cannot normally be returned by post and provide the applicable return cost information before purchase.

The cancellation right has limited exceptions, including certain goods made to your specifications and certain sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. We will identify any relevant exception before you buy. These exceptions do not affect your rights if goods are faulty.

Our Returns & Refunds policy explains the return steps in more detail.

8. Refunds for change of mind cancellations

We will refund the price paid for cancelled goods and any standard outward delivery charge. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we only need to refund the cost of our least expensive standard option.

We may reduce a refund to reflect a loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

We will refund you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the goods back or receive evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier. We will use the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, and we will not charge a refund fee.

9. Faulty or incorrectly supplied goods

Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose as required by law. If a product is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, contact info@thesologent.com with your order number and a description of the issue.

Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to reject the goods for a refund, or request a repair or replacement. We will bear reasonable return costs where required for faulty or incorrectly supplied goods. Your statutory rights apply regardless of any manufacturer’s warranty or the change of mind cancellation period.

10. Promotions and discount codes

A promotion may have its own eligibility criteria, dates and limits, which we will state with the offer. Unless an offer says otherwise, discount codes cannot be combined. Promotional terms will not take away your statutory rights.

11. Website content

Text, images, logos and other content on this website belong to us or their respective owners. You may view the site and make personal use of its content, but you must not reproduce or use it commercially without the relevant owner’s permission.

12. Our responsibility

We are responsible for losses caused by our breach of these terms where the loss was reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made. We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

13. Privacy

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please read it to understand how we use information supplied when you browse the site or place an order.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when we accept your order will apply to that order. We will show the latest update date at the top of this page.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applicable in United Kingdom. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you, and you may bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable law.
